Service Description

Calling all navigators — Map Day is back for its third adventure, and we'd love for you to join us on the trail! This is part of our ongoing Map Day series, where we explore the outdoors through the lens of navigation and place. Each outing brings a new trail, a new perspective, and a new set of discoveries — and you absolutely don't have to have joined us for the first two to come to this one. This time, we're heading to Baldy Trail in Arcadia for a morning of wandering, wayfinding, and map exploration together. We'll work our way through the trail, practicing map-reading skills, noticing landmarks, and learning to orient ourselves in the natural world. There's something deeply satisfying about learning to read the land — and even more satisfying when you do it with good company. When: Sunday, June 28, from 10:30am–12:30pm Where to meet: Baldy Trail, Arcadia, MI Who it's for: All ages welcome — first-timers and Map Day veterans alike! Cost: Free for members | $5 drop-in What to bring: Walking shoes, a water bottle, weather-appropriate layers, sunscreen, and a compass (if you have one!) RSVP on our website to save your spot! No experience needed — just curiosity and a love of being outside. We can't wait to navigate with you. See you on the trail!
